Tokyo lives in a sort of college protected by thick walls. Like his classmates, he attends lessons held by robot professors every day, and peacefully spends his free time chatting and playing with friends. However, all the students seem to possess particular "talents", and little by little their curiosity towards the outside world combines with mysterious forebodings, stirring up the quiet of their little paradise. Maru wanders the ruins of what was once called "Tokyo" together with the beautiful and enigmatic Kiruko, in a desolate world populated by bizarre and deadly creatures - but also by desperate human survivors ready for anything. Tokio and Maru are identical in appearance, yet they seem not to know each other at all. What will their bond be? Will their destinies be destined to intersect? And what is the handsome but masculine Kiruko hiding? Attracted by rumors about a doctor who seems to make people live forever, Maru and Kiruko try to get in touch with the Religious Community of Immortality. Having entered the basement of a huge building where a man-eater is said to be "bred", the two find themselves faced with a difficult situation. Meanwhile, Tokyo is under surveillance due to an illness of unknown origin. Some memories then emerge that illuminate the school's past, such as the facts relating to Asura's suicide, but the closer the world inside and outside the institute seem to touch, giving answers to some of the questions that surround them, the more the mystery becomes thickens...

Come i suoi compagni, segue ogni giorno lezioni tenute da robot professori, e trascorre serenamente il tempo libero chiacchierando e giocando con gli amici. Tutti gli studenti sembrano possedere però dei "talenti" particolari, e pian piano la curiosità verso il mondo esterno si unisce a misteriosi presentimenti, movimentando la quiete del loro piccolo paradiso. Maru vaga per le rovine di quella che una volta era chiamata "Tokyo" assieme alla bella ed enigmatica Kiruko, in un mondo desolato popolato da bizzarre e letali creature - ma anche da umani sopravvissuti disperati e pronti a tutto. Tokio e Maru sono identici nell'aspetto, eppure sembrano non conoscersi affatto. Quale sarà il loro legame? I loro destini saranno destinati a incrociarsi? E cosa nasconde l'avvenente ma mascolina Kiruko? Attirati dalle voci riguardo a un dottore che sembra faccia vivere le persone in eterno, Maru e Kiruko cercano di entrare in contatto con la Comunità Religiosa dell'Immortalità. Introdottisi nei sotterranei di un enorme edificio in cui si dice venga "allevato un mangiauomini", i due si trovano di fronte a una situazione difficile. Nel frattempo, Tokio è sotto sorveglianza a causa di un malessere di origine sconosciuta. Emergono poi alcuni ricordi che illuminano il passato della scuola, come i fatti relativi al suicidio di Asura, ma quanto più mondo interno ed esterno all'istituto sembrano vicini a toccarsi, dando risposta ad alcune delle domande che li circondano, tanto più il mistero si infittisce...
