In 1878, as Western culture spreads throughout Japan, in the town of Nagasaki, Miyo, a young orphan from the times of the Satsuma Rebellion, works in a rare objects shop called Vingt. The owner of the shop, Koura Momotoshi, purchased many objects in Europe that aroused the girl's curiosity: binoculars, clothes, sewing machines, boots and much more. Furthermore, she has been gifted with the gift of clairvoyance since she was a child. The story shows us a Nagasaki full of life and people, from traders to prostitutes, and narrates the growth of its protagonist and her feelings for the shop owner, as well as the latter's hidden past.
