Haruhi Suzumiya is an eccentric and explosive girl, generally avoided by her classmates because she is considered crazy. The rumors about her are not unfounded at all and in fact she is not interested in normal people, but looks for events outside the box or someone who can give color to her life and in particular ESP, time travelers and aliens. In doing so, she attracts the attention of ordinary high school student Kyon who suggests she start her own club to satisfy her inclinations. Haruhi thus founds the "SOS Brigade", a paranormal club into which she will obviously drag poor Kyon. They will be joined by other companions in the club: Yuuki Nagato (actually an alien), Mikuru Asahina (a time traveler) and Izumi Koizumi (an esper). The new companions, however, are attracted to Haruhi because, for one reason or another, they all have the aim of investigating Haruhi's person since she seems to be a sort of divinity capable of unconsciously influencing and shaping the world. The four will be involved in paradoxical situations and will have to submit to Suzumiya's yoke, satisfying her whims and antics...

Haruhi Suzumiya è una ragazza eccentrica ed esplosiva, in genere evitata dai compagni in quanto considerata svitata. Le voci su di lei non sono affatto infondate e in effetti non si dimostra interessata alle persone normali, ma cerca eventi fuori dagli schemi o qualcuno in grado di dare colore alla sua vita e in particolare ESP, viaggiatori del tempo e alieni. Così facendo, attira l'attenzione del comune liceale Kyon che le suggerisce di fondare un club tutto suo per soddisfare le sue inclinazione. Haruhi fonda così la "Brigata SOS", un club del paranormale in cui trascinare ovviamente il povero Kyon. A loro si uniranno preso altri compagni nel club: Yuuki Nagato (in realtà un aliena), Mikuru Asahina (una viaggiatrice nel tempo) e Izumi Koizumi (un esper). I nuovi compagni sono però attirati da Haruhi perché, per un motivo o per l'altro, tutti hanno lo scopo di indagare sulla persona di Haruhi poiché ella pare essere una sorta di divinità in grado di condizionare e plasmare inconsapevolmente il mondo.I quattro saranno coinvolti in situazioni paradossali e dovranno sottostare sotto il giogo di Suzumiya, accontentando i suoi capricci e le sue stramberie...
