Three years ago a hero sealed a gate to hell, but the seal has weakened greatly since then, and sporadically lets monsters through. After a large group of monsters entered the country through the gate of hell, the profession of a hero became indispensable again. Touka Scott, a small farmer from the town of Cheza, prepared for a sudden attack of monsters. He built a trap to lure them into in case of a possible attack on the village. Suddenly a monster attacks and Touka tries in vain to lure it into a trap using bacon. Luckily the local hero saves the village just in time. After defeating the monster, the starving hero tries to eat a bite of bacon, but dies when he falls into Touka's trap. After causing the death of the local hero, Touka is forced to take his place, to protect the region from monster attack.
