In ancient Greece, the gentle and sensitive Demetrius is a painter of amphorae, on which he illustrates glimpses of daily life, myths, legends and sports scenes - despite the fact that he is actually averse to any type of competition and denied any physical activity! However, he himself is chosen to represent his village in a competition that will decide the fate of his people. Scared and afflicted, he takes refuge in a large terracotta vase... only to be struck shortly thereafter by sudden lightning. Demetrio is fortunately unharmed, but when he comes out he finds himself inexplicably catapulted into 1964 Tokyo, right in the middle of the Olympic Games!

Nella Grecia antica, il mite e sensibile Demetrio è un pittore di anfore, su cui illustra scorci di vita quotidiana, miti, leggende e scene di sport - nonostante sia in realtà avverso a ogni tipo di competizione nonché negato per ogni attività fisica! Proprio lui, però, viene scelto per rappresentare il suo villaggio in una gara che deciderà le sorti della sua gente. Spaventato e afflitto, si rifugia in un grande vaso di terracotta... per venire colpito da lì a poco da un fulmine improvviso. Demetrio è fortunatamente illeso, ma quando esce si ritrova inspiegabilmente catapultato nella Tokyo del 1964, proprio nel bel mezzo dei Giochi Olimpici!
