Hisanobu, approached by doctors, finally learns of his irreversible paraplegic condition. For the boy the blow is very hard, and after an initial moment of refusal he falls into the blackest desperation. The last part of the issue narrates Kiyoharu's childhood. Having lost his mother at a young age, Kiyoharu is forced by his father to play the piano, although his true passion is athletics. Over time Kiyoharu receives permission from his father to run and abandon his musical studies, but at the same time as his first sporting results he experiences severe pain in his right leg. This is the malignant tumor that will cost him the amputation of his limb at the age of fourteen.

Per il ragazzo il colpo è durissimo, e dopo un primo momento di rifiuto cade nella disperazione più nera. L’ultima parte dell’albo narra l’infanzia di Kiyoharu. Persa la madre in giovane età, Kiyoharu è costretto dal padre a suonare il pianoforte, sebbene la sua vera passione sia l’atletica. Col tempo Kiyoharu riceve dal padre il permesso di correre e di abbandonare gli studi musicali, ma contemporaneamente ai primi risultati sportivi sopraggiungono dei forti dolori alla gamba destra. Si tratta del tumore maligno che a quattordici anni gli costerà l’amputazione dell’arto.
